What I Do
Individual Tax Returns
Federal and state income tax preparation for individuals and families, including multi-state filers.
Self-Employment & Small Business
Schedule C for sole proprietors and independent contractors, plus Schedule E for rental property income.
Multi-State Returns
Accurate filing for clients who live, work, or earn income across state lines.
Prior-Year & Amended Returns
Catch up on unfiled returns or correct a previously filed return.
What I don't handle
This practice focuses on personal and small business income tax preparation. Staying in that lane means more attention on every return I take on, with no divided focus across services I'm not positioned to do well. Work outside this scope is referred to qualified professionals.
- Corporate returns (S-corps, C-corps)
- Multi-partner partnerships
- Estate and trust returns
- Payroll tax filings
- Foreign income exclusions
The Difference
Why Willinger Tax Consulting
Military Precision
Retired military officer. Accuracy isn't optional in uniform, and that standard applies here. Every return is reviewed in full before filing, with no shortcuts and no assumptions.
Cybersecurity Expertise
Your SSN, bank details, and financial records deserve real protection. Bank-level encryption, multi-factor authentication, and a background in cybersecurity mean secure handling isn't a promise. It's a baseline.
Your Data Stays Yours
Only the information needed to file your return is collected. Documents move through an encrypted portal, never email or fax. Data is retained only as long as the law requires, then deleted. No social media presence, no third-party sharing, no exceptions.
Read my Privacy Policy →Why Remote
Better Than the Waiting Room
Most people choose a tax preparer based on proximity. But proximity has nothing to do with quality, and an office visit adds friction without adding value. Here's why remote works better.
Work on Your Schedule
No commute, no waiting room, no taking time off. Upload documents from your couch at midnight or during your lunch break. Your tax prep fits around your life, not the other way around.
Pick the Best Fit, Not the Closest Office
Geography shouldn't limit your options. Remote means you choose a preparer based on expertise and trust, not which strip mall is nearest. That's especially valuable for military families, remote workers, or anyone who moved mid-year.
More Secure, Not Less
An encrypted client portal is safer than a paper folder in an office or documents sent by fax. No physical copies floating around, no shared printers, no unlocked filing cabinets. Your data stays digital and protected.
Still Personal
Remote doesn't mean impersonal. You work directly with one preparer (me) through phone calls, video chats, or secure messages. No seasonal staff, no hand-offs, no being treated like a number.
